Grey Water Systems FAQ

How much water will be available for use on my garden each week?
An average household creates 600 litres of greywater per day which calculates up to 4200 litres per week. The system can treat up to 600 litres of greywater per day. The Micro-nova™ delivers treated greywater immediately to your garden

How is the water treated made suitable and safe for my garden?
The Micro-nova™ Greywater Treatment System is a fully integrated, automatic treatment process which relies on a physical, biological and chemical treatment process.

This treatment process consists of four stages

  • Aerobic digestion
  • Disinfection
  • Final clarification
  • Sand filtration

The aerobic digestion stage uses aeration and biological media to remove the organic material from the wastewater. The final clarification stage allows remaining solids to be removed from the treated water before moving into the disinfection stage. The disinfection kills harmful bacteria in the wastewater. This is then passed through a sand filter which polishes the wastewater and makes it useable for your garden and plants.

Where is the system installed?
The Micro-nova™ Greywater Treatment System is installed below ground and is connected by our fully qualified and approved distributors. The Micro-nova™ is available in either a polymer or concrete tank.
